I admit I was not too into Bollywood untill I met my friend Nurmaidah from Sorowako, Sulawesi. My gosh she was so into it, I bet she watched every Bollywood movie that ever entered Indonesia! Talk about Bollywoodization! When we carried out our university community service in East Flores (KKN Flotim 04), one of the remote islands east off Java, the young girls there danced to the music of You Are My Sonia!
I have not ever followed-up on where it came from till now (3 years later!) when my India-Pakistani friend asked me to watch ‘DOR.’ So here it is, a tribute to my growing interest in Hindi movies :)

OK, I’VE GIVEN UP TRYING TO EMBED THIS VIDEO ON THE NEW VERSION OF WORDPRESS, SO HERE’S THE LINK

C’mon ladies, have some freedom n’ dance to this tune :)

Pho Vietnamese Restaurant

We came to walk around Seattle’s China Town, but we ended up having lunch at a Vietnamese Resto. The look of the resto reminded me of the Vietnamese Resto at OKC. I really liked their noodle soup so I would assume the one served here would be as delicious.

I ordered the Phõ dăc biêt dish and the Chè ba màu drink.

Udupi Palace My first visit to an Indian Restaurant. Nira warned me of how spicy (a.k.a. pedas menurut orang bule) the food may be. Kalau menurut ku spicy itu ya bumunya yang banyak. She knows I don’t like too much chilly. It depends actually, I like really hot rendang and gurameh bakar with really hot sambal on the side.

Uhhh ohhh do I miss Indonesian cuisine…

Well, let’s see how Indian food is compared to Indonesian.

Ramadhan Day 22

JAPANESE NIGHT!

      Konbanwa - Good Evening!

A Cappella - Love, Love, Love

A Cappella - “Love, Love, Love” Sung by Ken Hirai (he’s so cute!)

When I entered the Concert Hall, the Japanese students dressed in kimono painted my name in Japanese Kanji characters. Along the entrance, many more Japanese students greeted us with their smiles and their oh so bright and colorful kimonos (oh I want ooone!).

Ok, now here’s why I’d say this J-Night was spectacular…
